Shaneli

Shaneli is a luxury lifestyle brand specializing in sustainable, high-quality apparel and accessories. They approached us with the goal of creating a sleek, user-friendly eCommerce experience that would highlight the premium quality of their products while emphasizing eco-conscious values. We chose Shopify as the platform for its powerful eCommerce features, scalability, and flexibility in design.

Objectives

Our primary objectives for the UMA Home Decor project included:

  • Develop a minimalist and visually appealing site layout that aligns with the brand’s aesthetic.
  • Ensure a seamless user experience that guides customers intuitively from browsing to purchase.
  • Integrate eco-friendly messaging subtly but effectively throughout the site.
  • Optimize the site for performance across both desktop and mobile.

Structure Analysis and Development Process

1. User Experience (UX) Design

  •  Approach: We designed a streamlined navigation structure with clear categories and an emphasis on ease of browsing. The homepage features large, high-quality images, showcasing Shaneli’s products and values.
  • Highlight: A sticky navigation bar provides users with easy access to product categories, account login, and cart, enhancing the user journey without interrupting the visual flow.

2. Shopify Theme Customization

  • Platform Choice: Shopify was selected for its comprehensive eCommerce toolkit, including inventory management, secure payment processing, and integration capabilities with third-party apps.
  • Theme Selection & Modification: We customized a premium Shopify theme to meet Shaneli’s needs, modifying the layout to include custom sections for storytelling, product highlights, and environmental commitments. Each page was crafted with simplicity in mind to align with Shaneli’s high-end branding.

3. Visual Design and Brand Identity

  • Design Elements: The color palette, typography, and imagery were all chosen to convey elegance and sustainability. We integrated soft tones, clean fonts, and generous white space to create a luxurious and inviting feel.
  • Imagery: High-resolution photos and video backgrounds on the homepage and product pages draw users’ attention to the craftsmanship and detail of each item.

4. Product Pages and Conversion Optimization

  • Details: Each product page features a detailed description, multiple images, and an easy-to-navigate size and color selector. We also added a “related products” feature to encourage additional purchases.
  • Eco-friendly Details: To emphasize Shaneli’s commitment to sustainability, we included an “Eco Benefits” section on each product page, listing environmental aspects like recycled materials, fair-trade practices, or biodegradable packaging.

5. Mobile Optimization

  • Shopify’s responsive framework allowed us to focus on optimizing the mobile experience, ensuring that product images, buttons, and navigation remain intuitive on smaller screens.
  • Testing: We conducted extensive testing on various devices and browsers to ensure consistent quality, with an emphasis on touch-based navigation and faster load times.

6. SEO and Analytics Integration

  • Approach: We developed a clean, structured site architecture to help visitors quickly navigate between the organization’s service offerings, membership benefits, and industry news. A primary goal was to establish a professional feel, balancing elegance with functionality.
  • To drive organic traffic, we implemented SEO best practices on all pages, including optimized image alt tags, keyword-rich metadata, and clean URL structures.
  • Google Analytics and Shopify’s built-in analytics were integrated to monitor user behavior, conversion rates, and overall performance, allowing Shaneli to make data-driven marketing decisions.
  • To drive organic traffic, we implemented SEO best practices on all pages, including optimized image alt tags, keyword-rich metadata, and clean URL structures.

JewelSmiths, an Oklahoma City-based jewelry store, specializes in custom jewelry designs, diamonds, bridal pieces, and fashion jewelry crafted from high-quality gold, platinum, and silver. 2. Punchmark CMS Integration and Customization

  • Platform Utilization: Building on the Punchmark CMS, we customized the website to include JewelSmiths’ unique service offerings, such as custom designs and bridal pieces. Punchmark’s jewelry-focused tools allowed us to integrate specialized eCommerce functions, enabling users to view detailed product specifications and easily make online purchases.
  • Security and Performance: The Punchmark CMS platform provided robust security and stability, which we enhanced with optimized code and image compression techniques to reduce loading times, resulting in a reliable, secure, and fast shopping experience.

3. SEO and Local Visibility Strategy

  • Keyword Optimization for Jewelry Industry: We conducted keyword research tailored to the jewelry industry and JewelSmiths’ Oklahoma City market. This informed our optimization of meta descriptions, title tags, and content, improving search engine rankings and helping local customers find JewelSmiths online.

  • Responsive and Accessible Layout: The layout was designed to be fully responsive and accessible, making it easy for all users to explore and shop on the site, whether they’re on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

The new website has successfully established JewelSmiths’ online presence, driving an increase in organic traffic and generating new business opportunities through local search visibility.
